In 2009, Highland Mountain Filtration began providing a new line of Alpine™ Water Filtration Products. We have spoken to the engineer who designed the inner workings and we are convinced that his Ultra-violet Sanitation system is as good as they get. Continually improving the cooler is an ongoing process. This cooler not only has UV, but it has other diagnostics to keep us appraised on how your cooler is doing.
Key features include the lamp inside of the reservoir which reduces bacterial growth using a spiral flow process, which greatly increases efficiency. Also, the UV lamp monitor insures that no water enters the reservoir untreated or before the lamp is operating properly. Our technicians can easily monitor the remaining UV lamp life and filter quality 100% of the time.
As the UV lamp ages, the program increases the lamp run time to compensate for any loss of intensity. Normal Operation - During the normal operation the red light will be off the green light will be on with a heartbeat blink once per second. This indicates that the cooler has power, the computer is running, and all systems are working properly. With the new spiral entry tube, the water is exposed to the UV lamp longer, providing a more UV efficient UV dosage.
